BlockBeats news, July 16: Keyrock has completed its acquisition of BlockFills’ institutional trading and brokerage business. The transaction covers its trading technology, institutional client relationships, and derivatives trading team. The acquisition will also expand Keyrock’s regulatory coverage, including an entity registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, and an entity in the UK that is expected to obtain authorization from the Financial Conduct Authority.

Keyrock did not disclose the transaction price in its announcement. Based on prior court filings and disclosures by company representatives, the total acquisition price is $3.25 million, to be paid in two installments, with some arrangements still depending on regulatory approvals. BlockFills suffered major losses during the cryptocurrency market crash in February 2026, and subsequently applied for Chapter 11 protection under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Keyrock was ultimately selected as the buyer in its bankruptcy liquidation process.
