Crypto market maker Keyrock announced the completion of its acquisition of BlockFills’ institutional trading and brokerage business. The deal covers BlockFills’ trading technology, institutional client relationships, and its derivatives trading team, and helps Keyrock obtain a registered entity in the Cayman Islands under CIMA and a prospective authorized entity in the UK under the FCA, further expanding its global compliance footprint. Earlier court filings showed that, as part of BlockFills’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, Keyrock was selected as the buyer for a price of $3.25 million. Headquartered in Chicago, BlockFills suffered major losses from a market crash in February 2026 and subsequently filed for bankruptcy. Earlier this year, Keyrock said its new Series C financing, led by SC Ventures, a unit of Standard Chartered, valued the company at $1.1 billion. (TheBlock)
