This sell-off just now, honestly, isn’t surprising at all. When $NEAR surged earlier and pushed higher, it looked very strong, but the details already showed cracks.

What truly made me make the call was that, at the high level, it repeatedly put out higher volume yet still couldn’t push through. The longer the price stayed above, the more likely problems would arise. I already noticed this area earlier. After opening a short position around 2.5382, I didn’t rush to move—the key was to see whether a pullback could regain the pace.

The result was very direct. Now we’re at 2.0709, and the short position’s return rate is already at +1307.45%, with the move clearly extending. Many people were still hesitant at the start, thinking it might make another push higher, but the market didn’t give the bulls much time—once it came under pressure, it immediately kept trending out move after move.

At this point, don’t get greedy and lose your judgment. The profit is already there. Traders with heavier positions can take profit in batches, and keep the remaining portion protected by holding at a protection level. If you miss this leg, don’t chase—chasing when emotions are at their heaviest makes it easy to get thrown off by a pullback. Wait for the next opportunity.
