BlockBeats news, July 16: 1inch co-founder Anton Bukov posted that he was dismissed at the end of November 2025. He is still a 1inch co-founder and holds 50% equity, but he no longer takes part in company operations and is no longer responsible for product architecture, security design, or related oversight.

Bukov said that since co-founding 1inch in May 2019, he has mainly been responsible for protocol architecture, security, and economic model design, and has helped launch products such as the 1inch Router, 1inch Fusion, cross-chain atomic swaps, and shared-liquidity AMM.

He said that feedback from users and team members over the past year made him realize he could not continue to stay outside the company’s management and operations. He then spent several months learning leadership and communication methods and pushing for change, before ultimately being dismissed at the end of November 2025.

Bukov also announced the launch of a new project, Second Tier, planning to build a secure, efficient system together with a team aligned with its理念, narrowing the gap between economic intent and actual execution.
