Mars Finance News: On July 16, according to a July 15 report from the U.S., an internal assessment from the U.S. Department of Defense shows that the actual U.S. spending on military actions against Iran could be as high as $100 billion, far exceeding the roughly $30 billion previously disclosed by the U.S. government. It is understood that the huge gap between the two figures is mainly because the earlier official estimates did not include undisclosed combat expenditures, losses of advanced fighter aircraft, and the severe damage costs to U.S. military facilities in the Middle East. U.S. Senator Angus King said Americans are very disappointed that the public cannot find out the real costs of the war—“not to mention the additional costs to the public from the fighting, such as higher gas prices.” (CCTV News)
