This short position finally came true. The move $INJ pressed down from the high point made the market’s tone obvious. Back then, many people were still watching for a rebound and thought it could still push higher, but what truly caught my attention was that after a high-level volume spike, the follow-through weakened more and more—prices tried to rally a few times but couldn’t get up.

My short entry reference was at 5.542. Now the price is at 5.05, and my unrealized profit is already up +428.39%. This isn’t luck—after the earlier structure fell apart, the rebound only provided a more comfortable entry window.

The key is right here: in a strong market, a pullback will get buyers to catch it. In a weak market, a dead-cat bounce instead gives shorts a chance to add more. Now that the profit has already been realized, those with heavier positions can consider handling 80/20 in batches for some of it; the rest should use protective levels to hold, so you don’t let the space you already locked in get taken back by a single counter-rally.

If you didn’t get on board, don’t chase a short. Chasing after the drop makes it easy to get swept. Wait for the next bounce to break under pressure, or wait for a more comfortable level to move.
