MoonPay announced the acquisition of crypto deposit startup Glide, in an all-stock deal. The specific amount has not been disclosed. Glide was founded in 2023 by former Robinhood Crypto Wallet team members Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong, with support from Y Combinator, Titan Fund, and others. This is MoonPay’s sixth acquisition announced in 2026; previously, it acquired Sodot, Decent, DFlow, Entendre, and Dawn Labs, among others, continuing to strengthen its footprint in institutional custody, AI trading infrastructure, and accounting. With 2026 not even half over yet, there have already been six acquisitions—capital operations moving faster than product iteration. I don’t know whether integration capabilities can keep up.

Just bought Dawn Labs first, and then bought Glide right after—this pace reminds me of some big tech company’s history of buying things up and hoping for the best, and I really hope it’s not just stacking acquisitions without substance.

A full-share acquisition; the amount is not disclosed. It seems neither side of the deal has much disagreement about the valuation.

The crypto deposit space is actually quite tough; if Glide can handle bank compliance, the practical usefulness of MoonPay would improve significantly.

From institutional custody to AI trading to deposit entry, MoonPay’s map is getting more and more complete—what remains is whether they can ultimately make the loop work end to end.
