This short position finally paid off. $AZTEC has dropped from the highs, and the pace is even more decisive than I expected. I opened at 0.02762, and the price is now at 0.01389—my unrealized profit is already +1218.98%. This isn’t luck; it’s because when it kept failing to break through at the highs, the chart already showed signs of exhaustion.

What really got my attention back then was that every time it spiked up, it didn’t have sustained volume. Many people were still waiting for a breakout, but I felt something was already off here. If the high doesn’t continue, the pullback doesn’t rebound strongly, and once the shorts take control, the move can extend very quickly.

For this run, I handled it with an 80/20 approach: take most of the profits off the table first, and keep a small remaining position with a protective stop to continue watching the extension. Once the profits are there, the biggest fear is greed—especially in this sharp drop phase, where any rebound can be brutal too. If you’re in a position, don’t let too much of the profit get given back. If the timing is right, you should know how to close. If you didn’t get on board, don’t rush—don’t chase on the rebound, and wait for the next more comfortable entry.
