This short position finally paid off. In the morning, many people were still watching for a rebound. What I was looking at wasn’t whether it would go up, but that at the high level, every time it surged upward, it couldn’t be held.

After shorting $BTC at 78,051.2, there were several attempts during the day to push higher, but the volume couldn’t keep up. Once the key level was lost, the structure changed clearly. Now the price has come to 64,168.6, and the profit on this short is already +3,091.2%. The market space was released very directly.

What really made me stick with it was that fake breakout. It looked strong on the surface, but in reality it pulled in the people chasing longs—then it quickly dropped. Put simply, once the rhythm changes, you can’t keep forcing it with a long-biased mindset.

Over here, I handle it with an 80/20 approach: take profit on most first, and keep the remaining small position with a protective level to watch for further extension. Once the profit is there, don’t get greedy to the point of going too far. If you have a position, remember to protect your profits—don’t let a drawdown disrupt the rhythm. If you didn’t get in, don’t rush: don’t chase on a retracement—wait for the next more comfortable entry.
