This short position finally paid off. The move where $TAO got pressed down from the highs made the order-book feel very clear—it wasn’t a normal pullback; the continuation from above got cut off.

Back then, I was watching the rejection and resistance around 277.1. The price tried to break up a few times but never held; the aggressive buy pressure kept getting weaker. A lot of people were still waiting for a further push higher, but I felt something was already off here—the structure had clearly changed—so I didn’t rush to close the short.

Now the price is at 196.4, and this trade’s profit is already up +1402.5%. The market’s room has been released pretty decisively. The real key isn’t how much it fell, but that during the drop the rebound lacked strength, which shows that the batch of chasing capital above has started to become passive.

For brothers with positions, you can handle about 80% of the profit first in batches. Keep the remaining 20% with a good protection level and continue to look for further extension—don’t let the profit you already locked in get knocked back by a single weak rebound. If you missed it, don’t force a chase either. Especially in the second half of a selloff, it’s easiest to lure shorts—don’t chase; wait for the next more comfortable entry point.
