Bloomberg: Japan plans to purchase 27.5k Nvidia Rubin chips to build local robot AI models

Golden Finance reports that, according to disclosures by Bloomberg, Japan plans to purchase 27.5k next-generation Nvidia Rubin chips to build autonomous in-house robot foundation AI models and advance the “sovereign AI” strategic rollout. Rubin is Nvidia’s flagship chip platform for next-generation AI computing. Japan hopes to use this project to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic artificial intelligence and robotics industries, and reduce dependence on overseas AI technologies and infrastructure.
