This drop-and-sell is very straightforward. $FIL didn’t suddenly weaken; it had already started showing cracks earlier. A lot of people got trapped by intraday rebounds, thinking that after the washout it would still go higher. What really caught my attention was that after sweeping the highs, the price didn’t continue to open up upside room.

My short position is at 1.0505. Now the price is at 0.7789, and the profit has already shown +1245.09%. The main thing with this kind of move is that it’s easy to not understand the rhythm. It looks like consolidation on the surface, but in reality funds are continuously distributing at the high end. By the time most people are still hesitating, the direction has already begun to turn bearish.

The key is that after breaking down, there was no strong rebound. Even the pullback only serves as a re-entry spot for the shorts. Now I’ll first take 80% profit, and keep the remaining 20% with a protective level to observe. After releasing the gains, my mindset must be calmer than when I entered the trade.

If you didn’t participate, don’t rush. Chasing only when you see the drop makes it easy to chase into a short-term rebound. Don’t chase; wait for the next time a more certain opportunity appears.
