The U.S. Senate unanimously passed a non-binding resolution stating that FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) “should never, under any circumstances” receive a presidential pardon or sentence reduction. The resolution was approved through a unanimous consent procedure, with no senators opposing. SBF was previously convicted on seven counts related to the FTX collapse and is expected to be released no earlier than around 2044. Before the resolution was issued, SBF had sought a pardon, and U.S. President Trump has pardoned him and other figures in the crypto industry, including Ross Ulbricht. (CoinDesk)
