Geneva “Friends of Global Governance” Group Holds AI for Good and Inclusive Development Seminar

On the 7th, the Geneva “Friends of Global Governance Group” held an “AI for Good and Inclusive Development Seminar” at the Geneva International Conference Centre. Li Yucheng, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, introduced China’s achievements in artificial intelligence (AI) development at the seminar and said that global AI governance calls for stronger international cooperation; all parties should deepen innovation collaboration, strengthen coordinated co-governance, fully unleash the benefits of intelligence, and jointly create a better intelligent era. Jia Guidé, a representative of the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations in Geneva and other Swiss international organizations, said that for AI to support good and inclusive development, the key is to uphold people-centered principles, open cooperation, and multilateralism; China is willing to work with all parties to advance AI development in a direction that is beneficial, safe, and fair, and to make greater contributions to improving global governance. Attendees emphasized the need to strengthen unity and cooperation, promote AI for good, enable inclusive benefits for all, and benefit humanity. They said the “Friends of Global Governance Group” held the seminar during the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance and the Global Summit on AI for Benefiting Humanity, making a positive contribution to global AI governance.
