Uber and German food delivery company Delivery Hero reach a business combination agreement

Mars Finance News: On July 16, Uber announced that it has reached a business combination agreement with German food delivery company Delivery Hero, expanding its ride-hailing and delivery platform businesses to a total of 99 markets. Uber will provide Delivery Hero shareholders with a cash consideration of €41.50 per share, corresponding to an equity value of $14.8 billion; after deducting the shares Uber previously held, the adjusted value is $13.7 billion. Delivery Hero also reached an agreement with its investment company, SSW Partners, to sell its business in 14 markets for a consideration of about $1.6 billion, particularly in markets that overlap with Uber Eats.
