Hyperliquid’s TSMC contract spiked up and then retraced, dropping more than 4% during the session

Mars Finance news: On July 16, according to market data, the prices of Hyperliquid contracts related to TSM (TSM) surged higher during the day before falling back, and the decline at one point widened to more than 4%. Previously, TSM released its 2026 second-quarter financial results: net profit rose 77% year over year to 706.6 billion New Taiwan dollars, setting a historical high and exceeding market expectations. Q2 revenue increased 36% year over year to 1.27 trillion New Taiwan dollars, and revenue from its high-performance computing (HPC) business grew 20% quarter over quarter.
