According to U Today, Ivan Branco, head of information management for Volvo Group’s logistics business, said the company previously tested a blockchain-based closed transaction system with some materials and transportation suppliers, and created a dedicated cryptocurrency for the trial to handle settlement between suppliers and Volvo.
The related exploration was mainly aimed at addressing issues such as fragmented supply-chain information, complex transactions, and collaboration efficiency, rather than issuing a token for the public market.
