The United States officially initiated a Section 337 investigation into DRAM devices and their downstream products and components (II). Samsung Electronics, Google, Nvidia, and others are named as defendants.

BlockBeats message: On July 16, the US International Trade Commission voted to initiate a Section 337 investigation (Investigation code: 337-TA-1511) into certain dynamic random access memory devices and their downstream products and components (II).

Within 45 days after filing, the US International Trade Commission will determine the investigation’s end date. Except in cases where the US Trade Representative denies relief for policy reasons, the remedies issued by the US International Trade Commission in a 337 case take effect on the date of issuance and have final force starting from the 60th day after the date of issuance.
