According to insights from Beating monitoring, OpenAI has teamed up with keyboard manufacturer Work Louder to launch Codex Micro, a mini keyboard dedicated to controlling the Codex programming agent. Priced at 230 USD, it’s available for limited-time preorders, with shipments expected on July 24.

The device features 13 mechanical keys, a joystick, a dial, and a touch sensor. The key backlighting can indicate whether the agent is thinking, running, waiting, or has already completed its task. The joystick can initiate code review, debugging, and refactoring, while the dial is used to adjust the inference intensity.
