The most critical point of this trade isn’t getting in early—it’s not being scared out by a mid-way retracement. $ESPORTS was churning around the earlier high area back and forth, and many people saw the bounce and thought it needed to regain strength, but I felt like something was already off here.

What really caught my attention was the consolidation around 0.04371—price couldn’t move up, but the pullback got more and more decisive, indicating that control had already slipped away from the long side. After it broke down, the pace accelerated; now it’s at 0.01511, and the short position profit shows +1287.88%, with the room in the market clearly being released.

After you’re in profit, you have to stay calm—don’t go crazy adding position just because part of it went smoothly. My approach is still relatively conservative: 80/20 in batches. First, lock in the main profits, and keep the remaining small position following with a protective stop. If the retracement manages to reclaim the key zone again, I won’t stubbornly hold.

Don’t feel bad about missing this one—the risk of chasing shorts at low levels isn’t small either. Wait for the next time at a more comfortable entry.
