ZachXBT also specifically criticized Ledger, saying Ledger Live is frequently updated and often disrupts the use of core functions.

The update frequency of Ledger Live is really annoying. After the last upgrade, it couldn’t even recognize the device—I had to restart three times before it worked.

ZachXBT’s point is a bit interesting. Using an independent iPhone as a cold wallet is definitely more worry-free than some hardware wallets—for one thing, it won’t crash as soon as you finish updating.

Are hardware wallets not suitable for large amounts? That’s quite an aggressive take, but think about those firmware vulnerabilities and supply-chain attacks—it kind of does make sense.
