Coin World News: ASML Holding N.V. (Nasdaq: ASML) plays a key role in the AI chip supply chain, and as demand for advanced semiconductors grows, its position has become even more important. On July 6, Bernstein raised its target share price for ASML, highlighting the company’s role in providing lithography systems needed to produce advanced logic and memory chips. According to data from the Semiconductor Industry Association, global chip sales rose 93.9% year over year in April, driven by demand for AI infrastructure and accelerated computing platforms. ASML’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography tools are central to production at advanced nodes, making it an important supplier to manufacturers of AI servers, mobile processors, and high-bandwidth memory chips. Despite cyclical risks, customers may delay equipment orders if chip demand weakens, but as the complexity of advanced chips increases, the strategic importance of lithography capabilities will stand out even more.
