CoinJie.com reports that Blackstone Group’s iShares Bitcoin Trust has secured a major regulatory win with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), increasing the ETF options position limit from 250,000 contracts to 1,000,000 contracts. According to an SEC notice, a rule change submitted by NYSE Arca took effect immediately, allowing the exchange to raise the options position and exercise limits related to the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF. The approval enables traders to take on larger options positions, as institutional interest in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs continues to grow. Blackstone’s IBIT has performed strongly over the past few months, becoming one of the best-performing funds in the category. The exchange noted that the previous 250,000-contract limit was no longer able to match the trading activity of IBIT options, and raising it to 1,000,000 contracts will better meet current market demand. This regulatory decision was made shortly after Blackstone released its 2026 Q2 earnings report, which showed revenue up 31% year over year.
