Crypto News: On the 14th, the office of former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a statement denying a report by The New York Times that he was under house arrest and had connections with Israeli intelligence agencies, saying the relevant content is “false” and belongs to “Hollywood-style fictional plots.” On the 13th, The New York Times reported that Israeli intelligence agencies had made contact with Ahmadinejad and, after the first round of attacks by the US and Israel against Tehran, transferred him to a “safe location.” The report also said that Ahmadinejad later left the location and was then placed under house arrest by Iran. In response, on the 14th Ahmadinejad’s office said the report was “false news” and “utterly absurd,” attempting to exploit the current sensitive situation in Iran to confuse public opinion and conduct a psychological war against the entire Iranian nation. As of now, the US side, the Israeli side, and Iranian officials have not publicly confirmed the contents of The New York Times report. Ahmadinejad served as Iran’s president from 2005 to 2013.
