CryptoJie News: According to a report by Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun, SoftBank Group chairman and CEO Masayoshi Son said at the annual meeting “SoftBank World” held in Tokyo that by 2040, AI agents will reach 100 trillion, humanoid robots will reach 1 billion, and AI will become “the largest industry in human history.” He added that by 2040, AI will contribute about 20% of global GDP, and said, “When 100 trillion AI agents interact with each other, society will shift to being centered on agents rather than humans, and the world order will be completely reshaped.”

Regarding the impact of humanoid robots, Son said the robots can operate 24 hours a day, which is equivalent to 3 billion human laborers, and will carry out tasks faster, more accurately, and more precisely, becoming the core of the workforce. He also emphasized that expanding data centers is the key to realizing this vision, and expects that by 2040 power consumption will double, requiring an investment of about $5 trillion per year (1M yen).

On future business strategy, Son said the AI revolution should not be limited to Japan; resources must be concentrated on the United States, the core battlefield.
