July 16 Trading Log: US stocks are too volatile—ETH breaks through 1836, but I’m still firmly waiting for one cycle, a big empty wave.
Today is July 16.
Lately, the uptrend and volatility in US stocks have been absolutely terrifying—big moves up and down, enough to make people’s hearts race and their nerves go wild. Even the crypto market has been going berserk along with it. “Er Bing” $ETH finally forced the 1836 suppression level we had been closely watching earlier to break upward.
To be honest, opening positions these past few days has really been a bit against me. I’ve been losing for several days in a row—saying I’m not annoyed would be a lie. But if you’ve been in this market for long enough, getting slapped is just part of the game. The key is to not mess up the rhythm and mindset.
Even though the bulls look pretty strong right now, when I extend the cycle over the long run, deep down I’m still a steadfast bear. I still believe in the power of the cycle. The more the bulls bounce and jump now, the more likely they’ll later be forced to choke and then unleash a final, most violent ultimate dump. So I’ll remain firmly focused on shorting.
My specific order plan:
On the short-term side, with the current momentum, the bulls are indeed still pushing upward. Brothers who want a quick short-term long can follow the trend and play a bit. But my own main task is to wait for the high short. Since 1836 has broken, I’ll move my defense line up directly, and place orders above in a few key strong resistance zones to lie in wait.
I’m planning to split and place short orders at these levels below:
1947
1958
1988
2070
The hard stop-loss is unwavering—just set it at 2100. This time we’ll learn the lesson: we absolutely won’t touch high leverage multiples. We’ll use light position, low leverage to grind with the “market maker,” and see who can last to the end.
In a headwind, it’s the biggest test of staying power—never let the market goad you into trading out of anger. If we’ve already got the big direction nailed down, then set the levels, attach the stop-loss, and leave the rest to time. Hit like and follow—before 2100, we’ll fight the bears to the end!
