According to a report from Biquanwang, Semafor reported that a senior White House official said on Tuesday that the Trump administration has left room for future executive actions to address the issue of open-source AI models. The official said that the government is carrying out a great deal of work, and in addition to the executive order signed by Trump last month, the order includes open-source scanning and coordination mechanisms, according to U.S. National Cyber Director Sean Kane Kencross. In recent days, companies such as Reflection AI have submitted new framework proposal(s) to the Trump administration regarding open-source AI models.
