Golden Finance reports that on July 16, news from the United States said that the actual spending by the U.S. on military actions against Iran could be as high as $100 billion, far exceeding the $31 billion figure disclosed by the U.S. government. The report says that internal assessments within the U.S. Department of Defense indicate that the actual U.S. spending on military actions against Iran is between $80 billion and $100 billion. Because there is a huge discrepancy from the amount previously announced by the government—mainly because the earlier estimates did not cover undisclosed combat spending, the losses of advanced fighter jets, and the severe damage suffered by U.S. military facilities in the Middle East—just rebuilding a U.S. military base that was struck by Iran could cost more than $300 billion.
