Golden Finance reported that on July 16, US President Trump posted that one of the biggest drivers of future employment is data centers. They are massive in scale and well-funded, and they are also the state’s “money-making machines.” For political reasons, New York Governor Kathy Hochul has halted all data centers being built or planned to be built in New York. These companies are now seeking to set up in Alabama, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and many other states. Taxes and job opportunities are similar to liquid gold. New York State made a bad decision. All of this income and other benefits will go to red states and some blue states that are looking at data centers as a cash cow, where taxes are lower and they are creating record-breaking jobs. New York State should immediately change its policies.
