FLock io has recently been selected for the World Economic Forum (WEF) MINDS project. Its privacy-preserving AI technology has been applied to two medical research initiatives within the UK National Health Service (NHS). Through FLock io’s federated learning platform, Moorfields Eye Hospital and University College London Hospital (UCLH) have jointly trained models for eye disease detection and diabetes management while maintaining 100% data sovereignty, without sharing sensitive patient data. The diabetes monitoring and early-warning project, developed in collaboration with FLock io and researchers from UCL and UCLH, already covers users in the UK, Southeast Asia, and East Asia, aiming to optimize blood sugar prediction using locally trained AI models.
