Federal Reserve Chair Powell: I’m not satisfied with any inflation indicator.

BlockBeats message: On July 15, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Wosh, appeared today before a Senate hearing. During the hearing, he repeatedly mentioned his dissatisfaction with inflation. He said: “Recent inflation data cannot perfectly reflect underlying inflation conditions. The labor market looks quite good, but inflation does not. I am not satisfied with any inflation indicator. We will review our tools, including the balance sheet and interest rates, to see whether we need to adjust them to address inflation.”
