$BNB Completes Its 36th Quarterly Token Burn
The 36th quarterly #BNB Auto-Burn has been completed on BNB Smart Chain (BSC), permanently removing 1.62 million $BNB, worth approximately $932 million, from circulation.
Previous (35th) burn:
• 1,569,307.34 $BNB burned
• Worth approximately $1.02 billion at the time.
Burned tokens are sent to a permanent blackhole (dead) address, making them unrecoverable. BNB also has a real-time burn mechanism (BEP-95), where a portion of gas fees from every block is burned continuously. The goal is to reduce BNB's total supply to 100 million coins over time.
