FLock io has recently been selected for the World Economic Forum (WEF) MINDS project. Its privacy-preserving AI technology has been applied to two medical research initiatives within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Using FLock io’s federated learning platform, Moorfields Eye Hospital and University College London Hospitals (UCLH) have achieved joint model training for eye disease detection and diabetes management while maintaining 100% data sovereignty, without sharing sensitive patient data. The diabetes monitoring and early-warning project, developed in collaboration with UCL and UCLH researchers, has covered users in the UK, Southeast Asia, and East Asia, aiming to improve blood sugar prediction through locally trained AI models.
