Indian AI programming startup Emergent completes a $130 million Series C round of financing, with a post-investment valuation of $1.5 billion

BlockBeats message, July 15: Indian AI programming startup Emergent completed a $130 million Series C funding round, bringing its post-investment valuation to $1.5 billion, a significant increase from its $300 million valuation during its Series B round earlier this year in January. The round was led by Creaegis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, Y Combinator, and others. The company’s cumulative total funding has increased to $230 million.

Emergent mainly targets founders and small to mid-sized businesses, offering an integrated AI development platform covering programming, deployment, hosting, testing, and debugging. The company said its annualized revenue run rate has reached $120 million, and it has more than 200k paying customers. This funding will mainly be used to advance product R&D, improve AI agent workflow capabilities, and expand its market outreach, including considering setting up an office in Europe.
