Abstract generation in progress
In October 2023, SoftBank Group founder Masayoshi Son shared his method for using ChatGPT at the SoftBank World 2023 conference. He treated ChatGPT as a search engine, but that’s the wrong approach. Its real value isn’t retrieving knowledge, but becoming a “wise adviser” that you can spar with again and again. Son revealed that he often uses ChatGPT as a debate opponent, refining his ideas through multiple rounds of questioning and rebuttal. Later, he even sets multiple different roles within ChatGPT, having them debate with each other, while he only watches and acts as the judge. In his view, this approach not only helps advance thinking quickly, but is even more efficient than meetings with company executives.
