According to Crypto Circle news, EMURGO, after handling the SecondFi security incident, has transferred its rights to host Token2049 to the Cardano Foundation. EMURGO submitted a request to Intersect for the transfer, and the parties agreed after tripartite negotiations. The Cardano Foundation has agreed to deliver the event within the approved scope. The Token2049 handover work has now been officially transferred, and the event is still scheduled to be held in October.

Coordinating with Intersect stuck in the middle is difficult. After the three parties vie for their own interests, the foundation ultimately ends up taking over. If everything can be handled smoothly by October, that’s already pretty good.

EMURGO’s blame-shifting move this time is pretty impressive.

Token2049—just handle it in October, whatever; it doesn’t matter who does it—just don’t ghost it.

Did SecondFi run into trouble, and did EMURGO just bolt? The operating rights were handed over on the spot—so the Cardano Foundation ended up being the forced “rescuer.”
