Golden Finance reported that on July 15, Baidu (BIDU.US) saw a sharp rise before the market opened, and is now up about 2%. Media cited an insider saying that Apple and Baidu will collaborate to develop artificial intelligence features for iPhone users in China. Baidu is focusing on developing an AI-based search function as part of Apple’s “Apple Intelligence” feature suite, which can process images and text and will be upgraded into a China version of the Siri voice assistant. On June 23, the overseas blogger One Jailbreak also found “Baidu Visual Search” appearing in ExtensionKit while dissecting the code of iOS 27 Beta 2. Today, the Cyberspace Administration of China released filing information for seven mobile on-device generative AI services, with Apple Intelligence included.
