By then, Meta may set a Token cap per engineer. The allowance will depend on whether the company believes the money can generate positive returns.
Meta has not set any limits yet. The company previously shut down internal AI Token consumption leaderboards.
Mosseri said that such leaderboards only encourage employees to “burn tokens,” but don’t necessarily create value. The company’s stance toward AI is shifting from encouraging heavy usage to focusing on compute investment versus output.
