《Economy》 Mainland China’s national real estate investment in the first half of the year fell 18% year-on-year, versus an expected decline of 16.8%

The National Bureau of Statistics announced that in the first six months, nationwide real estate development investment was RMB 3.81 trillion (same below), down 18% year on year; the market expected a drop of 16.8%. Among them, residential investment fell 17.8%. In the first six months, the floor area of housing construction by real estate development enterprises decreased 12.5% year on year. Among them, residential construction area fell 12.9%. The floor area of newly started housing projects fell 23.4%. Among them, residential newly started housing area fell 24.1%. The floor area of housing completed for the period fell 23.7%. Among them, residential completed housing area fell 25.3%.

Relevant content: China’s June inflation rate was -0.3% month on month, below the previous -0.1%. The forecast was -0.2%.

In the first six months, the sales area of newly built commodity housing fell 11.6% year on year; among them, residential sales area fell 12.4%. The sales value of newly built commodity housing fell 13.6%; among them, residential sales value fell 13.7%. At the end of June, the stock of unsold commodity housing by year fell 0.9%. Among them, the area pending for sale for less than three years fell 3.5%.

In the first six months, real estate development enterprises’ funds actually in place were RMB 4.02 trillion, down 20.2% year on year. Among them, domestic loans fell 31.7%; self-raised funds fell 16.4%; deposits and advance receipts fell 15.8%; and personal mortgage loans fell 24.9%. (jl/u)
