Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Thai Prime Minister Anutin will visit China and attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference

On July 13, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian hosted a regular press conference. A reporter asked: China has just announced that Thai Prime Minister Anutin will pay an official visit to China from July 16 to 20. Could you brief us on the visit arrangements? How do you assess current China–Thailand relations? What are you expecting from this visit? Lin Jian said that Prime Minister Anutin will, at the invitation, come to China from July 16 to 20 to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-level Meeting on Global AI Governance, and will also pay an official visit to China. This will be Prime Minister Anutin’s first official visit to China since taking office, fully demonstrating the high level of importance both sides attach to developing China–Thailand relations. China expects that through this visit, the two sides will carry forward the traditional friendship of “one family of China and Thailand,” deepen comprehensive strategic cooperation, and make new progress in building a China–Thailand community with a shared future for mankind, helping to advance the modernization of their respective countries and injecting more positive energy into regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
