Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The memorandum of understanding with the United States has entered a “crisis” phase

On July 13 local time, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei said that the understanding memorandum with the United States has “undoubtedly entered a crisis stage.” Baghaei said that as long as the U.S. continues to violate its commitments, Iran will not comply with the understanding memorandum. Baghaei also said that regarding Muscat and Oman, Iran has only held consultations with Oman on the issue of the Strait of Hormuz and did not plan to discuss other topics. Baghaei said that Iran is consulting with Oman to establish a mechanism to ensure the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. However, due to the pressure Oman is under, this goal could not be achieved. (CCTV News)
