Dongfang Jincheng: The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield will most likely continue to rise

Mars Finance reported that, citing Jinteng, Orient Securities Credit released a research report stating that, driven by the renewed escalation of geopolitical risks, the 10-year US Treasury yield is expected to show a volatile upward trend. Given the escalation of tensions between the US and Iran and Iran’s announcement that it will close the Strait of Hormuz, international oil prices are expected to rise, pushing up market inflation and interest-rate-hike expectations. In addition, Federal Reserve Chair Waller is expected to attend a congressional hearing this week; his testimony is expected to be hawkish in tone, signaling an effort to control inflation, thereby lifting real interest rates. Overall, the 10-year US Treasury yield benchmark is very likely to continue rising.
