《The Information》cites reports from insiders that DeepSeek’s annual revenue has recently reached $400 million to $500 million, with revenue mainly coming from enterprises and developers using its models via APIs. The report says DeepSeek’s V4 API gross margin exceeds 50%. Although its pricing is significantly lower than OpenAI and Anthropic, the company has optimized its infrastructure, such as reducing the number of chips needed to run its models.

Earlier, there were rumors that DeepSeek has begun preparations to list in mainland China, with an application potentially submitted as early as this year. The target is to be listed in 2027. At present, the company is in talks with accountants and banking advisory firms. (mn/da)
