36Kr exclusively learned that NVIDIA’s autonomous driving team recently released an internal letter stating that Dheeraj Ahuja, the former Qualcomm executive vice president for autonomous driving engineering, will join Wu Xinzou’s team, while Sarah Tariq, the former NVIDIA autonomous driving software vice president in charge of production projects, will enter a role transition period. Today, Sarah Tariq also sent a farewell letter. Dheeraj Ahuja and Wu Xinzou both previously worked at Qualcomm. Over the past more than seven years, Dheeraj has been responsible for Qualcomm’s autonomous driving projects. Between late 2021 and 2022, Qualcomm successfully fended off NVIDIA and Mobileye to win orders for BMW’s next-generation ADAS and autonomous driving platform, and Dheeraj was the direct engineering lead for that project.
