According to Beating monitoring, the leaker account leo claims that Anthropic is making final preparations for Claude Opus 5. The model may be released as early as this week, but could also be delayed until next week. Its capabilities are expected to be close to Fable 5, but with lower operating costs.

Anthropic has extended the subscription usage period for Fable 5 to July 19, but is not planning to extend it again for now.
