Air China (00753.HK) -0.050 (-1.220%) short sold $17.9 million; ratio 13.153%. Announced that in June 2026, total passenger capacity on a year-on-year basis fell 6.1% based on available seat-kilometers; passenger turnover volume fell 2.9% year-on-year based on revenue passenger-kilometers. Of this, domestic routes saw passenger capacity down 7.7% and passenger turnover down 6.7%; international routes saw passenger capacity down 1.6% while passenger turnover rose 7.4%. Regional routes saw passenger capacity down 16.4% and passenger turnover down 11.5%. Average passenger load factor was 83.9%, up 2.8 percentage points from the same period last year, including domestic routes up 0.9 percentage points, international routes up 7 percentage points to 84.1%, and regional routes up 4.4 percentage points. In the cargo business, total cargo capacity fell 6.3% year-on-year based on available freight tonne-kilometers; cargo and mail turnover volume fell 1.6% year-on-year based on revenue freight tonne-kilometers, and cargo load rate was 48%, up 2.3 percentage points year-on-year. In June, Air China newly opened the Wenzhou to Jeju route and the Chengdu Tianfu to Yan'an route, introducing one A320 series aircraft and one B737 series aircraft, and retiring one A320 series aircraft.
