Cinda Biotech and Spero Therapeutics have reached an exclusive licensing agreement for IBI355 (third-generation anti-CD40L monoclonal antibody, in the clinical Phase II preparation stage). Under the terms of the agreement, Spero will obtain global exclusive development, research, manufacturing and commercialization rights for IBI355 (Spero R&D code: SP001) outside the Greater China region. Spero plans to initiate a Phase II clinical study of IBI355 for IgG4-related diseases (IgG4-RD) in the second quarter of 2027. IgG4-RD is a severe, chronic inflammatory disease with fibrosis, with a heavy treatment burden and limited treatment options. Cinda Biotech plans to launch a Phase II clinical study of IBI355 for Sjögren’s syndrome (SjD) in China before early 2027. SjD is a chronic autoimmune disease with limited treatment options.
