Mars Finance reported that Maoshengyong, deputy director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that, according to preliminary estimates, in the first half of this year, new drivers represented by high-end manufacturing, the digital economy, and modern services accounted for a contribution rate of more than 40% to economic growth in the first half. The economy’s shift toward new drivers and higher quality is highly evident, and the overall development trend is accelerating. In the first half, the added value of above-scale high-tech manufacturing grew by 13.3% year over year. Among them, the added value of the aerospace vehicle and equipment manufacturing industry and the electronics and communications equipment industry rose by 16.3% and 17%, respectively. Industries related to artificial intelligence, such as integrated circuit manufacturing and intelligent vehicle-mounted equipment manufacturing, have all maintained high growth of more than 30%. At the same time, the pace of green transformation is accelerating. In the first half of the year, the retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles exceeded 60% for three consecutive months, driving a 39.3% increase in lithium-ion battery output. In recent years, the pace of connecting the transition between old and new drivers has accelerated.
