According to Livecoins, on July 13 the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced sanctions against multiple entities and individuals associated with the Cuban regime, and added a batch of cryptocurrency wallet addresses to the blacklist. The sanctions cover Tron (TRX), Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana (SOL), Dash (DASH), Zcash (ZEC), and Litecoin (LTC), as well as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) addresses. The U.S. alleges that these assets are linked to individuals involved in network crimes and money laundering activities, including the alleged operator of illegal virtual tools, Ukrainian citizen Dmytro Rashevskyi, and Yevgeniy Vladimirovich Silayev, who resides in Belarus. In addition, the Association of Cuban Revolutionary Fighters and six state-owned enterprises, including Cuba’s Ministry of Tourism, were also added to the trade embargo list.
