A South Korean investment YouTuber was confronted at home by one of his subscribers with a knife.

On July 13 in the morning, inside a commercial building in Nam-gu, Busan, a man in his 20s repeatedly stabbed a stock investment YouTuber in his 40s, then fled the scene. The victim has injuries to multiple parts of his face and body, but there is no danger to his life at present. The suspect was arrested for attempted murder.
The Korean media said the suspect was originally a subscriber to the channel. After trusting the host’s investment calls and suffering substantial losses, he developed resentment. After finding the host’s location, he came straight to the door with a knife 😨. Police are still investigating the two people’s specific relationship and the motive for the attack.
Previously, stock-picking influencers were most afraid of getting their predictions contradicted by the market—but now they also have to guard against viewers showing up offline with loss statements and demanding reconciliation.
(If they’re down more than the fans, can they defend themselves?)
